Serving Him, Volumes I-VI by: M.S. Parker and Cassie Wild

 Volume 1
“I moved to New York from Iowa to find a life that I didn't know I was looking for. I expected to have to work hard and barely make ends meet. But…I never expected to meet HIM.”

For twenty-one year-old Aleena Davison, it was a life-long dream coming true when she said goodbye to her dreary small-town life in Iowa and moved to Manhattan.
However, it didn’t take long for her dream to turn into a nightmare. Everything from the roommate from hell to her asshole of a boss, contributed to her pain and she’d just about given up. That was…until she ran into devilish handsome, Dominic Snow.
The mysterious stranger not only tried saving her waitress job, but also made her an offer she couldn’t refuse, a new and much more lucrative job.
“Strictly professional,” he’d insisted. But could she trust herself working for the hottest man she’d ever met?

Volume 2
“How did it happen? Fairytales don’t become real…do they? Will I wake up in a moment, back in my old apartment, and realize it was all a dream?”

When twenty-one-year-old, Aleena Davison, gets hired as the new live-in personal assistant for billionaire businessman, Dominic Snow, life seems almost too good to be true. Despite her lack of experience, she manages to impress not only her new boss, but also everyone around her.
Everything moves along as planned until one day Aleena accidentally walks into the private bedroom of Dominic Snow. What she sees will change her life, forever.

Volume 3

“Faced with the racist insults from Dominic’s mother, I realized that my new job of serving HIM was no fairytale after all. Now I had a choice to make. Stay or get the hell out.”

Aleena Davison is a strong and smart woman, but can she play in the wicked games the women of New York’s high society play? Especially when they play by different rules?

Volume 4
“Dominic Snow wanted me. I never doubted that fact, but I was doing what I'd promised myself I wouldn't do. I was falling for him, and I couldn't help thinking I'd made a terrible mistake.”

Aleena Davison's life is quickly spinning out of control. Her rich, gorgeous boss is taking her to heights of sexual pleasure that she'd never imagined, but it's quickly becoming apparent to her that, no matter what he says, sex is all she is to Dominic. She, however, wants more. When things come to a head, will Dominic be willing to give up some of his control or will Aleena walk away?

Volume 5
“I'd said the words, told him that I loved him, and he hadn't said them back. After all he'd been through, I understood, but the absence of them left me feeling more vulnerable than ever before.”

As Aleena Davison finds herself falling deeper in love with her boss, Dominic Snow, her feelings leave her open to the malicious nature of socialite Penelope Rittenour. More than anything, Aleena wants to know where she stands with Dominic, but something else seems to be occupying his mind lately. She just hopes it isn't someone else.

Volume 6
I'd never wanted anything as much as I wanted Dominic Snow. I wanted all of him. His strengths and his weaknesses. His past, present and future. I just hoped that digging into that past wouldn't break us.

Aleena Davison thinks that her relationship with her handsome, wealthy boss, Dominic, is going well. He's opening up, understanding what it means to be in a relationship outside the bedroom, but when he tells her that he's looking into his past, she's afraid that he'll start to close himself off again. As secrets are revealed will they harm or heal the man she loves?

FYI, I'm giving my review of the six novella's as a whole and not each individual one....

Let me start of with WOW! What a fantastic read! I literally couldn't put the books down and totally adored Aleena and Dominic. They're chemistry was on fire and their connection is just adorable.

There were some serious moments that you felt so connected with Aleena and the position she finds herself in. Down on your luck girl gets dream job with hottie boss...that happens to everyone, right?! In our fantasy for sure!

Dominic is an amazing character. Not nearly as "alpha" as I would actually imagine someone in his position...but he puts off enough of the alpha vibe that it works. His background is thoroughly captivating and I really wish there was more to it. I felt like it was just more brushed over here and there instead of really dedicating more to it. But what was there, was really great!

These two overcome some serious obstacles in the forms of family, friends, and the past. Nothing is easy for them but they work so well together and make you always feel like there's hope for people that grow up so differently between race, money, status, etc...and fall so head over heals for one another.

Overall, amazing read! Loved all six novellas!

Luscious by: Lexi Blake

When Macon Miles meets sweet waitress Alison Jones, he knows she’s trouble, but he can’t imagine how her secrets will rock his world.

(This story is a novella inside a box set)

This was a great sweet addition to the Masters and Mercenaries series! :)

I loved starting to get to know the crew at "Top" and the love for food! HAHA, yum!

Our little buddy, Adam has a younger brother that's gone through hell. Macon is a seriously adorable character and I just loved him!

Ally, the little sly devil is a little bad ass that was a fun character and always keeping me happy.

Together they are super sweet and a great couple! Their dilemma was pretty sad and heart wrenching...but I bet Ian will be there for them...right? Gotta love Ian!

(If you bought the box set that included this book you'd get the "sweet" jokes!)

ARC -- My Stranger By: Lola White

A dark erotic tale of lust and lies, and a truth more dangerous than the ecstasy she discovers in her stranger’s bed. My girlfriend wanted me to have one last fling with a man before we took our relationship to the next level. When my stranger stole me away and gave me pleasure beyond anything I’d ever known, I thought it was all her idea. But my stranger wasn’t what I thought he was. AJ isn’t ashamed to admit she’s a lover of many things—men, women and various combinations thereof. She’s a free spirit with a rough past that left her with a need to be taken care of, in spite of her trust issues. For the first time in her life, AJ is ready to commit to one person, but her girlfriend isn’t certain that AJ can be faithful and suggests one last fling to make sure she’s ready for a future together. When AJ feels a man’s strong arms wrap around her in the dark, and hears her girlfriend’s pet name for her fall from his lips, she willingly submits to her stranger—and only finds out how dangerous he is after it’s too late to stop her addiction to the pleasure he gives her.

Warning: This story is dark erotica and contains situations that may be uncomfortable for certain readers, including Stockholm Syndrome, minor knife play, bondage, anal sex and fisting.

Dark erotica stories sometimes are just the thing! Wow....this was amazing and intense!

Not only do you really feel what AJ feels and experience what she goes through, but you love it!

I really wasn't sure what to expect in this novella, between the synopsis and the warning telling me this wasn't going to be your everyday erotica book. And it sure didn't disappoint either. This was different, but a very good different! I love dark erotica tales, and I loved how this really grabbed my interest right away and never let go. I seriously didn't want it to end! It delivered everything it promised and I just loved it!

Their Virgin Mistress By: Shayla Black and Lexi Blake

One wild night leads to heartache…

Tori Glen loves her new job as an image consultant for Thurston-Hughes Inc. The trouble is, she’s also in love with the three brothers who own it, Oliver, Rory, and Callum. They’re handsome, successful, aristocratic, and way out of this small-town Texas girl’s league. So she remains a loyal professional—until the night she finds a heartbroken Oliver desperate for someone to love. Tori knows she should resist…but it’s so tempting to give in.

And a desperate plan…

Callum and Rory have denied their desire for Tori, hoping she’ll heal their older brother, who was so brutalized by his late wife’s betrayal. But when Oliver cruelly turns Tori away in the harsh light of day, she tenders her resignation. Rory and Callum realize that to save their brother, they must embrace the unconventional sort of family they’ve always wanted—with Tori at its center. And it all starts with seducing her…

That could lead to happily ever after—or murder.

Isolated with the brothers at an elegant English country manor, they begin awakening Tori to the most sensual of pleasure. But consumed with regret, Oliver won’t be denied the chance to embrace the only woman worth the risk of loving again. What begins as a rivalry veers toward the future they’ve only dared to dream of. But a stranger is watching and waiting for a chance at revenge. Can the brothers come together to embrace the woman they love and defeat a killer?

O-M-G!!! This foursome is severely hot and heavy!

I love reading these seriously hot and sexy menage books! They're so fun addicting and this series is one of the best! (I still have a hard time when it's brothers that share a wife, rather than just friends...but it's still freaking HOT).

Shayla Black and Lexi Blake did it again! They put the "O" in Oooooohhhdaaaamn!

Tori, Oliver, Rory, and Callum....such a cute little four-some couple. Each man is so different and Tori is just what each of them need.

Great read!

You Only Love Twice By: Lexi Blake

A woman on a mission

Phoebe Graham is a specialist in deep cover espionage, infiltrating the enemy, observing their practices, and when necessary eliminating the threat. Her latest assignment is McKay-Taggart Security Services, staffed with former military and intelligence operatives. They routinely perform clandestine operations all over the world but it isn’t until Jesse Murdoch joins the team that her radar starts spinning. Unfortunately so does her head. He’s gorgeous and sweet and her instincts tell her to trust him but she’s been burned before, so he’ll stay where he belongs—squarely in her sights.

A man on the run

Since the moment his Army unit was captured by jihadists, Jesse’s life has been a nightmare. Forced to watch as those monsters tortured and killed his friends and the woman he loved, something inside him snapped. When he’s finally rescued, everyone has the same question—why did he alone survive? Clouded in accusations and haunted by the faces of those he failed, Jesse struggles in civilian life until McKay-Taggart takes him in. Spending time with Phoebe, the shy and beautiful accountant, makes him feel human for the first time in forever. If someone so innocent and sweet could accept him, maybe he could truly be redeemed.

A love they never expected

When Phoebe receives the order to eliminate Jesse, she must choose between the job she’s dedicated her life to and the man who’s stolen her heart. Choosing Jesse would mean abandoning everything she believes in, and it might mean sharing his fate because a shadowy killer is dedicated to finishing the job started in Iraq.

Don't you just love finally getting to read the next book in a series you absolutely LOVE!?

Yea...me too!! (we are so alike!)

So I finally got my chance to read the next in the Master and Mercenaries series by the amazing Lexi Blake! I feel like I've been waiting forever for it, though it's only been a few months. That seriously tells you how much I adore this series.

Any who...

Jesse and Phoebe are extremely sweet characters. Regardless of their history they really are just so darn cute together. They don't have that passion that Ian has with Charlotte or the history like Alex and Eve have...they're met fairly recently and find some serious comfort in each others company.

Of course, there are secrets everywhere and little miss Phoebe has some serious ones. Even some that I was shocked with!

But OMG I absolutely LOVED their Sanctum scene. Like seriously...it was so great!

Oh an Mr. Tennessee Smith.....we will just be seeing your beautiful ass next time....

Uncivilized By: Sawyer Bennett

Putting a woman on her knees before me is what really makes my cock hard. I fuck with dominant force and absolute control. I demand complete surrender from my conquests.

Savage man, loner, warrior… I am dangerous at my core. I have lived amidst the untamed wild of the rainforest, in a society that reveres me and where every woman falls before me in subjugation.

Now I’ve been discovered. Forced to return to a world that I have forgotten about and to a culture that is only vaguely familiar to my senses.

Dr. Moira Reed is an anthropologist who has been hired to help me transition back into modern society. It’s her job to smooth away my rough edges… to teach me how to navigate properly through this new life of mine. She wants to tame me.

She’ll never win.

I am wild, free and raw, and the only thing I want from the beautiful Moira Reed is to fuck her into submission.

She wants it, I am certain.

I will give it to her soon.

Yes, very soon, I will become the teacher and she will become my student. And when I am finished showing her body pleasure like no other, she’ll know what it feels like to be claimed by an uncivilized man.

Well dang, Zach...you're just one heck of a bad-ass wet-dream aren't you?!

Such a very cute story!

These two have some serious sexual chemistry...sizzling doesn't even begin to describe it. Their dirty scenes are so incredibly well written. They never got dull and repetitive! Loved it!

Outside of their bedroom (or nightclub) activities...the story is a very cute one. Modern girl meets "caveman like" Amazonian and tries to acclimate him to the modern times. The story works so much better since Zach was born in the US so he still has some memories and speaks English. It just wouldn't have been as good I think if he came right out of the Amazon needing to acclimate (obviously, lol). But I like exactly how the story went and  what happens between these two. Nothing was sugarcoated and we are all a little happier in life now that we've met Zacharias Easton.

Not Quite Juliet By: Katherine Rhodes

Morgan Kirkbride is self-professed super fangirl of Silver Soul. If they were playing, and someone mentioned it, she had to be there. One fateful night, by the grace of beer and peanuts, she fell for very hot, very sexy Nick D. Literally. Morgan was sure the lead singer of Silver Soul thought she was a graceless flake, and almost fell again (literally) when he asked her to a midnight diner. She was sure it was just a crazy one-night fling…

The very next Monday at Allegheny County Courthouse, the highly respected, well credentialed chemist Dr. Nicholas Dovadsky is called as a witness — and Morgan recognizes him as the rock god she spent the night with.

Sparks fly between them, but things keep getting in the way: the band’s bassist; Morgan’s roommate; her school schedule are all taking away from their time. But Nick wants to know the spunky, if clumsy, curvaceous woman. He just keeps coming back.

An ex-boyfriend comes back to haunt Morgan’s roommate, Lisa, and they think his ego- and head- were bruised by his dismissal. But when the simple threats become violent, perverse and horrifying, they realize someone is out to get them...

Ugh! Shut your face! I loved it!

LOL! I know weird intro, right?!

Seriously, there wasn't a second of Not Quite Juliet that I didn't love. I really fell for Katherine Rhodes with the first two Club Imperial books, but I'm even more attached now! She really knows how to get you hook-line-and sinker into her world of erotica.

I will admit one thing...as a plus size woman myself (and damn well not ashamed!), I have a very hard time reading about the heroine being a plus size woman. I know I'm awful for thinking that, and maybe it's because I've lived the insecurities and I don't want to have to read the same type of thoughts I've thought about myself...you're not sexy enough, you're not ever going to be a size two. Or maybe I just like confidence of the average hot and attractive heroines in other books. I don't know the exact reason, but I've never enjoyed a book that had this set up before (and that even includes one of my all time favorite author, Sherrilyn Kenyon's book where there's a plus sized woman heroine.)

BUT...having said that...Morgan was a breath of fresh-air! Though she had thoughts here and there, this book wasn't CONSUMED with it! She proves she's a normal curvy woman without drowning us with sorrow about it! She speaks of eating a snickers at her desk for lunch once, instead of being ashamed to admit that to someone or saying something about skipping meals to lose weight! She accepts who she is and people be damned! I just loved it!

Fantastic story line! Who wouldn't love to experience love with their long-time rocker-god star dream guy! I've already become so attached to all the Club Imperial characters and can't wait until the next one!!

On a side note because I'm a lover of book cover art, I really hope this cover get's a makeover to look more like the Consensual or Broken Bonds.

A View to a Thrill By: Lexi Blake

A Spy without a Country

Simon Weston grew up royal in a place where aristocracy still mattered. Serving Queen and country meant everything to him, until MI6 marked him as damaged goods and he left his home in disgrace. Ian Taggart showed him a better way to serve his fellow man and introduced him to Sanctum, a place to pursue his passion for Dominance and submission. Topping beautiful subs was a lovely distraction until he met Chelsea, and becoming her Master turned into Simon’s most important mission.

A Woman without Hope

Chelsea Dennis grew up a pawn to the Russian mob. Her father’s violent lessons taught her that monsters lurked inside every man and they should never be trusted. Hiding in the shadows, she became something that even the monsters would fear—an information broker who exposed their dirty secrets and toppled their empires. Everything changed when Simon Weston crossed her path. Valiant and faithful, he was everything she needed—and a risk she couldn’t afford to take.

A Force too Strong to Resist

When dark forces from her past threaten her newfound family at Sanctum, Chelsea must turn to Simon, the one man she can trust with her darkest secrets. Their only chance to survive lies in a mystery even Chelsea has been unable to solve. As they race to uncover the truth and stay one step ahead of the assassins on their heels, they will discover a love too powerful to deny. But to stop a killer, Simon just might have to sacrifice himself…

Always great to get a new Masters and Mercenaries book!

I absolutely love the whole McKay-Taggart family and was so excited to finally have Simon and Chelsea's story.

The build-up for these two in the past books has been amazing and I think their story did them justice. Chelsea is a great character, though I think I still expected a bit more attitude from her than we got. I think I must just be used to how she is the other books. Simon was perfect. He was exactly as I thought he'd be, and even a bit more than I expected from the always classy Brit.

I was really happy we got to hear from some of the other characters, even if it was just a teeny-tiny bit.

Overall, really happy with the book! Can't wait for the next novella and novel!! I think they're gonna be epic!

Quintessentially Q By: Pepper Winters

“All my life, I battled with the knowledge I was twisted… fucked up to want something so deliciously dark—wrong on so many levels. But then slave fifty-eight entered my world. Hissing, fighting, with a core of iron, she showed me an existence where two wrongs make a right."

Tess is Q’s completely. Q is Tess’s irrevocably. But now, they must learn the boundaries of their unconventional relationship, while Tess seeks vengeance on the men who sold her. Q made a blood-oath to deliver their corpses at Tess’s feet, and that’s just what he’ll do.

He may be a monster, but he’s Tess’s monster.

What an amazing story!

Not everything in life is hearts and flowers and really these books depict what could feasibly really happen in a dark situation!

Mental abuse/physical abuse, it all has a toll on our bodies. Once broken, near impossible to come back from.

Q and Tess are so perfect for each other. I loved that at one point Pepper Winters termed them "mirror opposites". Though it sounds like they wouldn't be good for each other using that term, you actually realize that literally it's everything! It's what makes them so amazing together! What one person desires above all other things is what the other person requires as well, but in the opposite fashion. One needs to hurt, the other needs the pain. It's such an amazing connection!

I really loved this book, through all the hardship and challenges that arise, I just fell more in love with Q and Tess. I felt their sorrow and agony, and I couldn't give up on them!

Fantastic read!

Tears of Tess By: Pepper Winters

“My life was complete. Happy, content, everything neat and perfect.
Then it all changed.
I was sold.”

Tess Snow has everything she ever wanted: one more semester before a career in property development, a loving boyfriend, and a future dazzling bright with possibility.

For their two year anniversary, Brax surprises Tess with a romantic trip to Mexico. Sandy beaches, delicious cocktails, and soul-connecting sex set the mood for a wonderful holiday. With a full heart, and looking forward to a passion filled week, Tess is on top of the world.

But lusty paradise is shattered.

Kidnapped. Drugged. Stolen. Tess is forced into a world full of darkness and terror.

Captive and alone with no savior, no lover, no faith, no future, Tess evolves from terrified girl to fierce fighter. But no matter her strength, it can’t save her from the horror of being sold.

Can Brax find Tess before she’s broken and ruined, or will Tess’s new owner change her life forever?

I came upon Tears of Tess when I was looking for a really dark book. If written well, dark erotic books can be absolutely amazing reads. Though they aren't books I can read all the time, they do well to break up the everyday occurrences in regular erotica books.

I found everything I could have possibly been looking for in Tears of Tess. And more!

This was so well written and so captivating I just couldn't put it down.

Q Mercer, such a tortured soul, such dark desires fights everyday with his deepest desires.

Tess...she's always known she is "different" from the average person in what turns her on. But she's tried to ignore those feelings and just SETTLE to not come off as a 'freak'.

When Q opens her eyes to what she needs, Tess is never going to be the same. Hell, I'm never going to be the same!

This is an amazing story and filled with everything someone desires when they look for a dark erotica book.

Waking Kiss By: Annabel Joseph

A stranger in the wings, a traitorous pair of toe shoes, and a traumatic turn dancing with The Great Rubio… For ballerina Ashleigh Keaton, it’s been one hell of a night.

But it’s not over yet. When Rubio drags her to a private BDSM party at his friend’s house in the ritzy part of London, she meets Liam Wilder, a lifestyle dominant and frighteningly seductive man. Liam pursues Ashleigh, attracted by her strength and talent, but she has secrets—an abusive past and a crippling fear of intimacy that prevents her from connecting to anyone, especially a kinky playboy reputed to be legendary in bed.

Eventually he wins her trust and sets out to heal the troubled dancer, awakening her to a world of erotic obedience and sensual abandon in a series of “sessions” at his home. But how pure are his motives? Is he helping her or endangering her fragile soul? Liam hides his own destructive secrets, and so does Fernando Rubio, their temperamental friend. Over time the three become embroiled in a tangle of artifice, fears, and lies that threaten to undo everything they’ve worked for.

Will Ashleigh and Liam find the strength to defeat their demons? Or are they cursed to sleepwalk through life forever, afraid to experience the passion and intimacy of love?

Not quite what I was expecting when I was looking into "dark" books, but a very cute story none-the-less.

Waking Kiss has emotions all over the place. From reliving child abuse, to BDSM, to bullying, to trying to overcome sexual responses.

Ashleigh is trying to get past her hangups with sex and wants to try to submit to Liam while trying to stay away emotionally....like that could ever happen.

Liam is the "big bad Dom" though I really didn't get a Dom feel off him at all, at least not compared to the other Doms I've read.

I think I was just expecting a bit more "darkness" to Waking Kiss, but I still enjoyed the story.
